Mourning mom sells stillborn baby’s crib for $2: A week later, buyer returns it transformed

When Valerie Watts gave birth to a stillborn son, Noah, her elation at finally being a mother quickly turned to sadness. She preserved his cot as a sobering reminder of the tragedy, even though it had passed.

Gerald Kumpula inquired about the crib's saleability after seeing it at a yard sale. After some thought, Watts consented. Watts said, "I hesitated" when asked whether she was selling the seats that he created.

Before Kumpula's wife talked with Watts and found out about her loss, she had no idea the crib had a history. After reading the narrative, Kumpula was moved to tears and gave Watts the cradle she had made into a bench. In an instant, Watts began to weep, he claimed.

The bench now represents her challenging path, offering solace and a link to her cherished son.
